Current Research

I am currently a Postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. I work with Professor Ronald Larson on a variety of topics including stress-gradient induced polymer migration in configurations with curved streamlines such as the Taylor-Vortex and Electro-osmotic flows, as well as multi-scale modeling of the rheological properties and phase behavior of latex coatings. We use both theory and mesoscale simulation methods including Brownian Dynamics and Stochastic Rotation Dynamics.

Before coming to Michigan, I did my Ph.D. at Rutgers University working on multiple numerical and experimental projects concerning the behavior of colloidal particles at liquid-fluid interfaces. My thesis topic was on computer simulation of the Interfacial hydrodynamics and transport of amphiphilic Janus particles. I also developed an aqueous-based process for fabrication of functional porous nanocomposites and quantified the adsorption efficiency of polymeric particles to a cross-linking interface.
