Postdoctoral Positions

POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS are available in the research group of Prof. Antoniewicz. In general, a strong background in fields related to Metabolic Engineering or Systems Biology are required. Postdoctoral researchers are expected to work independently and provide leadership to more junior investigators. They are responsible for carrying projects from inception of an idea to publication. Our laboratory offers an exciting environment for those seeking to integrate metabolic engineering and systems biology.

Please address inquiries to our group via e-mail at mranton@umich.edu.

Graduate Students

GRADUATE STUDENTS must first be accepted into the graduate degree program in Chemical Engineering at the University of Delaware, before joining our group as a PhD candidate. The Antoniewicz research group seeks motivated and talented doctoral students to perform research at the cutting edge of Metabolic Engineering and Systems Biology. Applicants must have exceptional qualifications and should consider applying for external fellowships, for example, the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship.

Undergraduate Students

UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS are welcome to take part in the process of scientific discovery in our lab. The Antoniewicz lab provides opportunities for motivated and talented students to learn techniques at the interface between metabolic engineering, systems biology, bioinformatics and functional genomics. No prior skills are required, as we encourage students to join our lab early in their academic careers.

Typical student background includes one or more years of study in chemical engineering. Students often begin work after completing their sophomore year as part of the Research Programs for Undergraduates. Undergraduate students may work for credit, stipend, or as a volunteer. Please contact us if you are interested in joining.
