Equipment used to prepare dispersions and emulsions. Equipped with microtip probe and solid probe that can be used in aqueous and organic solvents.
Equipped with a swing bucket rotor and a fixed angle rotor. The swing bucket rotor holds four bottles of 250mL each, allowing processing of one-liter solution at a time. The fixed angle rotor holds eight centrifuge tubes of 50mL each, allowing the removal of fine particles and water from crude oil.
Eppendorf Microcentrifuge 5418 ?
Equipped with Tefzel microcentrifuge tubes, that makes possible separation and recovery of solid particles, such as asphaltenes, from solvents that are incompatible with regular microcentrifuge tubes.

Asphaltene Aggregation Detection Time Curve Apparatus ?
An optical microscope and a syringe pump and the two most important parts of this set up. Apparatus is used to obtain the detection time curve of asphaltene aggregation for crude oils, asphaltene model oil, and diluted bitumen.
Asphaltene Deposition Apparatus ?
This is a home built apparatus to study asphaltene deposition. Being used in current research on asphaltene deposition.
The cold finger apparatus is used in the wax deposition research. As the name suggests, a cold surface is submerged into a liquid that can have its temperature controlled and deposit formation is measured.
Wax Flow-Loop Apparatus ?
This is a home built apparatus used to study wax deposition. In this apparatus, model oil at relatively high temperature is constantly fed to a pipe test section with cold walls. Formation of wax deposit on the walls is quantified by measuring the pressure drop across the test section.
