I am one of the few experimentalists in the Larson group! My research area focuses on the quantitative understanding of oppositely charged polyelectrolyte systems, especially their thermodynamic phase behavior through accurate compositional analysis (NMR, TGA, conductivity, etc.), and on the coacervate (one dense phase formed from phase separation of oppositely charged polyelectrolyte) rheology to study the effect of salinity, chain length, and pH. Beyond that, I also participated in the investigation of the connectivity between silicone-based 3D printing materials' printability and their rheological properties with collaborators from the Dow Chemicals company and from the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Michigan.
